Save the Date!  The CIPC/OAPCE Parent Summit will take place on May 5th, from 9:00 -2:00 p.m.  See the brochure for the topics and note that free childcare will be provided!

Fall  Welcome BBQ - we are still looking for volunteers to organize the welcome BBQ in the fall.  Depending on the number of volunteers, we may scale back by holing a BBQ on the same night as curriculum night rather than a separate full-blown fair.  Let us know if you'd like to help organize this event by emailing us at [email protected].

St Cyril's 60th Anniversary Committee - One idea that some parents have suggested to celebrate this milestone next year:  gala dinner with guest alumni speakers and silent auction.   This would be a great opportunity to come together as a parent community and celebrate this milestone.  Contact us at [email protected] if you'd like to be involved with the planning committee.




Finance Update
Thanks to your generosity, CSPC was able to provide hot chocolate and cookies as a treat for the class skates at Mitchell Field. Special thanks to Pat Rankin for coordinating.

Other Updates

Northern Karate

Karate is coming to St Cyril!  Northern Karate will do an introductory 8 week program during lunch hour for K-grade 3 starting in April.  Keep an eye out for the registration forms that will be sent home in late March.  Thanks to Kathryn Jaitley for suggesting at a recent parent council meeting to bring this program to our school.  If there is enough interest, we'll continue this program next year.


Parents Reaching out grant-  The CSPC is planning to apply for a grant that will allow us to provide a program next year to help parents learn how to engage with their children to increase math skills.
