We love to hear how much you enjoy our programs and facilities! Here's a note from Wendy:
I have never drawn anything other than stick figures before. The Draw and Sketch from SHAPES class is suitable for beginners (like me). My mom is on the East Coast and is actually interested in taking this class, something cool to do ā€˜togetherā€™ during the pandemic.

Unity Day
Join the City of Concord in celebrating Unity Day this Wednesday, October 21, by wearing orange. Unity Day, the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Month, aims to bring awareness to and prevent bullying in schools and communities. Orange, a color described as warm and inviting and is associated with safety and visibility, making it the perfect color to spotlight this important and prevalent issue. The day's goal is to bring together community members to emphasize that bullying is not acceptable and that everyone deserves to be safe online and in the community.

This year, we are inviting the community to visit a select park and look for one of 48 Unity Day rocks. These rocks will be orange and carry a message of kindness, acceptance, and tolerance! These orange Unity Day rocks can be found at the following parks next week: Concord Community, Meadow Holmes, Ellis Lake, Newhall, Dave Brubeck, and Todos Santos.
The City of Concord is excited to partner with Visit Concord on a virtual Oktoberfest celebration! Order a ā€œPorch Pour Partyā€ package and turn your backyard into a mini beer garden or revel in the comfort of your couch as you enjoy some of Concordā€™s best brew throughout the month of October. Partnered breweries include; Concord Tap House, E.J. Phair, Epidemic Ales and Hop Grenade.
Time change is near! Remember to set your clocks back one hour on November 1.
