2018 was a great year for CAHEC, and it was only possible because of our wonderful partners and residents! Take a look at the video below to see a few highlights, and help us celebrate another fantastic year in affordable housing.

We are 140 days away from our 18th Annual Partners Conference, but who's counting, right? Remember to mark your calendars and join us June 4-5 at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.


For attendees wanting overnight accommodations, a block of guest rooms will be available at the special conference rate of $189 (plus tax) per night. Attendees must register for the conference prior to securing a hotel room. Registration and room reservation links will both go live on the same date. Stay tuned for more information on this in early March. Let the count down begin!

  • Several CAHEC staff attended the grand opening of Elkhorn City School Apartments last month. The building - which used to be an old high school - will now be a place for 27 families in Elkhorn City, KY, to call home. We were proud to be part of this exciting renovation! 
  • Congrats to Smith Creek in Bermuda Run, NC; Pecan Grove in Abbeville, SC; and Village East in Kernersville, NC, on collectively receiving $35,000 in Active Lifestyle Grant funding from the CAHEC Foundation! Funding was used to install youth playgrounds on each property, which will be great amenities for the residents to use.
