It’s no easy thing to manage a workforce in compliance with an alphabet soup of laws such as ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA, GINA, PHRA, PMWA, and Title VII. It is even more daunting for nonprofit managers, who have to balance the pursuit of the organization’s mission along with the trials of the ordinary workplace.
This class will help you comply with the many laws and regulations that govern the employment relationship from hiring to separation and beyond. We'll talk about mistakes employers most often make and how to spot issues before they become big problems in areas like: employee contracts, including non-competes; pay practices; compliance with anti-discrimination laws; sexual harassment; administration of employee leaves of absence; and disciplinary issues.
