Thanks to all the businesses that have taken part in our Luton BID Tidy Days, we have been shortlisted in this year's prestigious Luton's Best Awards - nominated in the 'Environmental Achievement' category.
The awards are designed to honour the outstanding achievements of many of Luton's individuals, groups and organisations and we are delighted that Luton BID has been shortlisted.
Winners will be announced at a glittering Luton's Best Awards evening on Friday 24th November. Read more HERE.
Graduate work placements
Town centre businesses are being invited to offer graduate work placements, paid for by the University of Bedfordshire (UoB) as part of their Graduate Development Programme.
Open to recent graduates, UoB is looking for businesses that can provide meaningful, quality work experience which will help equip graduates with the skills they need for the future such as:
a specific piece of project work
some research and analysis
a role which is more task-orientated
a start-up project
The programme will run from Monday 8 January 2018 and will include opportunities that can be undertaken for four weeks full-time or six weeks part-time.
Find out more at our Luton BID Linked event - Tokko, Gordon Street,
Thursday 30 November, 8.30am - where a speaker from UoB can provide additional details about the programme. Alternatively email us

Glutton machine update
Our Luton BID glutton machine has been cleaning town centre streets for nearly a year now and
has collected 81,840 litres of rubbish.
The machine was purchased by Luton BID in 2016 and is loaned to and operated by Luton Borough Council. Cigarette butts and chewing gum are among the hard-to-reach items of litter it collects.
The Luton BID glutton machine is one of our many environmental projects to provide additional cleaning services to the town centre.
