Belgard Featured in Makeover Project with Home Improvement Gurus

Belgard is excited to partner with The Carey Bros., award-winning nationally syndicated experts, on home building and renovation, on their period renovation of a 111-year-old bungalow in charming Old Town Brentwood, California, in the San Francisco Bay area.
This project was in need of a complete overhaul, inside and out. The primary goal was to add comfort, efficiency and value, while maintaining the architectural integrity and historical look of the home.
In addition to historical preservation, the project also took a sustainability approach, repurposing materials and choosing environmentally sound options whenever possible.

Precast Rail Offers Solutions for Rail Lines

A highway-rail crossing in Laramie, Wyoming (located at the entrance to a cement plant) received 80 loaded cement and ore semi-trucks and 20 mainline train movements per day.
Because of the high impact load from the cement plant's semi traffic, this crossing surface once required frequent maintenance by the Wyoming Department of Transportation and Union Pacific Railroad.
On an annual to semi-annual basis, the standard lag type precast concrete crossing panels on timber ties had to be replaced and the track resurfaced.
The Oldcastle's StarTrack® HD system offered a durable solution for this heavily-trafficked railroad.
