Distinctive Education
Grounded in Truth

Christ Covenant School is a community that loves, educates, and equips our students to transform the world for Jesus Christ.

When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
Psalm 118:5-6 NIV

We are entering the new year which brings the excitement of having new goals. At Christ Covenant School, we are fortunate to have clear and measurable objectives from our board and the strategic plan which guide our internal and external growth decisions. Goal one, objective one, strategy one was to refine our philosophy of education to reflect the unique offering of classical Christian education in our contemporary setting. I am pleased to say that goal is accomplished, and an updated version of the statement is posted on our website (click here). Foremost, you will find that the revised statement is more focused on Christian character which our school seeks to model as a community.  Also the revised statement includes clarification of our classical content and methodology.

Along with the philosophy of education, we have been working to capture and categorize every course syllabus, quarterly objective, lesson plan, and specific activities that take place in the classroom on a daily basis. We are working to provide parents and teachers with clear guidelines of what constitutes excellence in education from a Christian and classical perspective.  Teachers are recording those lessons to preserve the consistency and integrity of our instruction.

Thirdly, our strategic plan calls for increased volunteerism and community outreach as a school. I was very blessed to see so many children and families working at the Crossroad Community Shelter last week when we were able to provide hot soup on a cold night to those in need. As our school grows internally, we have a responsibility to reach outwardly as the serving hands of Jesus to others in our city and around the world. This attitude of service is the best leadership development we can give our students to accomplish the ultimate vision of transforming the world for Jesus Christ.

Finally, our strategic plan has some specific communications and marketing objectives to help continue our trajectory of steady, healthy growth. We are eager to know what you value in our school and ask that you to share those qualities with other families who desire a Christian education rooted in truth. We are listening to your suggestions for improvement and are making adjustments so that we can accomplish the one goal that has been consistent since our school's inception: "to honor God by assisting Christian parents in providing a distinctively classical Christian education." (Philosophy of Education)

We are looking forward to this new year and all that it holds for your family and our community together.
