Our focus this week is on safety & security - find out about the two
Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) we are funding and
how the new crime prevention radio scheme is going...
Luton BID is funding PCSOs

We are funding two Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) to patrol the town centre streets in the lead-up to Christmas.

The PCSOs will ensure safety and help boost security in prominent town centre locations over the busy festive period.
Crime radio scheme launch switch over

The new digital business crime radio scheme   is being managed by Luton Business Against Crime (LBAC) with Luton BID offering businesses a significant subsidy towards the hire cost of the digital radios.

The scheme has been up and running in Luton town centre for a week now and is  currently running alongside the old analogue system to ensure a smooth transition.

It is already proving more effective, allowing businesses to share intelligence and boost safety and security more efficiently. It  will eventually replace the old analogue scheme.

For more details on how to apply for your subsidised radio click HERE.
We are recruiting a new Ambassador

We are looking for a new Ambassador to join our Luton BID team.

It's a rewarding position, which means working closely with the Police and other agencies to improve the visitor experience and promote Luton town centre, welcome visitors and shoppers on a daily basis, support town centre events and develop strong working relationships with businesses.

If you think you can contribute to our team, email HERE for more information.

Hair, beauty & body art directory out now

Our new hair, beauty & body art directory is part of a campaign to celebrate and promote town centre businesses that specialise in hair, beauty and body art services.

It includes a map and listings of Luton town centre hairdressers, barbers, beauty salons and body art businesses.

If you would like copies please contact our Luton BID Project Manager - email  HERE.
