January 18 - February 10

Mel Brooks' musical comedy The Producers won a record-setting 12 Tonys in 2001, including Best Musical - the most in the awards' history. It also set the standard for outrageous, in-your-face, politically incorrect humor. Stage Door Theatre presents what Variety's Charles Isherwood called 'a rip-roaring, gut-busting, rib-tickling, knee-slapping, aisle-rolling ... good time' musical

The plot is simple: Failed producer Max Bialystock and his reluctant accountant, Leo Bloom, cook up a plot to convince a group of elderly women to invest two million dollars in a horrendously offensive Third Reich-themed musical, which they know will be a sure-fire flop. This, they conclude, will leave them with the money, which they plan to use to retire to Rio. But against all odds show is a hit, and Bialystock and Bloom have to deal with their success.

A new and shocking version of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale of depravity, lust, love and horror. On the fog-bound streets of Victorian-era London, Henry  Jekyll 's experiments with exotic "powders and tinctures" have brought forth his other self - Edward Hyde, a sensualist and villain free to commit the sins  Jekyll  is too civilized to comprehend. When Hyde meets a woman who stirs his interest, Jekyll  fears for her life and decides to end his experiments. But Hyde has other ideas, and so the two sides battle each other in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse to determine who shall be the master and who his slave.

January 9 - February 10

Old Jews Telling Jokes showcases five actors in a comedy that pays tribute to and reinvents classic jokes of the past and present.  It celebrates the rich tradition of Jewish humor "and all the rabbis, complaining wives, fed-up husbands, patience-challenged physicians, gossiping ladies and competitive men" populating it. The humor can be suggestive (sometimes even raunchy) as the 'Old Jews' make fun of themselves as well as followers of every other religion.

Set in Liverpool, Ohio, Dance Nation centers on an army of pre-teen dancers with their
eyes (mostly) on the prize: winning. Their mighty leader, Dance Teacher Pat (played by
Carbonell Award Winner John Manzelli) shares a passion for dance that rivals that of
Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller. Dance Teacher Pat is "making the future with dance!" If
the troupe's new routine "World on Fire" is good enough, victory (and an audacious 4-
foot trophy) will be theirs at the Boogie Down Grand Prix in . . . Tampa Bay, FL!
Thought-provoking, moving, and uproariously funny, Dance Nation is a play about
budding dreams, growing up, and finding one's soul in the heat of it all
