January 11th, 2019

Get ready for Week 2 of Dear Church! This week, we're looking at Paul's letter to the Galatians as he sought to address and rebuke the people polluting the good news of Jesus Christ to divide, exclude and disqualify other people from the truth.

We've all probably experienced people using their misconceptions about Jesus to divide, exclude and dissuade others from encountering our Savior. How many of us are still perpetuating these untruths? Join us this Sunday as we counter these lies with the great news of a Gospel for all people for all time.

Pastor Jeff will be speaking in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Pastor Trevor will be speaking in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services. Don't miss this one!

The Compassion Experience

Coming to Mt. Horeb on January 18th-21st, this Experience is a landmark presentation visiting churches, schools, and other venues across the country. The experience immerses guests in the reality of daily life in poverty that millions of children face around the world. It brings visitors into cultures completely outside of their own. Most importantly, the Experience presents the blessing of hope as children are sponsored through Compassion's world-class child development program. When deployed in a parking lot, the structure allows guests to take an immersive tour through replicas of the homes, environments, and stories of two children who have been a part of Compassion's program. Each guest is equipped with an iPod Touch and headphones to guide them through the Experience. At the end of the tour, guests enter a World Impact Room where they can view photos and information about children of all ages who are waiting for sponsors. As God leads, guests have the opportunity to sponsor one of these precious children on the spot. Registration for the Experience is online at compassionexperience.com. To volunteer, click here.
