Denver Chapter CMLDP Alumni Appear in NCMA Contract Magazine

Alumni of NCMA's Contract Management Leadership Development Program (CMLDP) have gone on to do amazing things after graduation. In the September edition of Contract Management,  Ashley Parker, President-Elect, and Matt Gomer each appeared with highlights of their accomplishments on pages 68-69 of magazine. (Members only). CPCM Study Group Opportunity 
Reach your personal best!
The NCMA Denver Chapter will be facilitating a study group for the Certified Professional Contracts Manager starting on Wednesdays for six weeks.  The registration is free, but slots are limited.   
Minimum qualifications for CPCM are a bachelor's degree, 120 CPE's and five years of experience. The study group is based on the new CPCM exam. The group will meet at Dentons in Denver.

The Chapter will be offering these educational opportunities and CPEs to our members at discounted rates from the normal price of $189 per webinar. Participants will earn 1.5 CLE/CLP credits for each session. 

FAR/DFARS Update. This will be the second webinar for January. 
This past year was one of significant change when it comes to acquisition regulation - changes that were both substantive and "corrections," and updates impacting contract awards, performance, and compliance. This webinar will review the important FAR and DFARS changes from the past year, and how those changes will impact both the government and contractors. We'll also look to the coming year and discuss possible changes on the horizon for 2019.

Profit Analysis and Weighted Guidelines
The government requires contracting officers to use a "structured approach" for determining the profit or fee objective in most noncompetitive acquisitions requiring cost analysis, but the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) offers few specifics on how to do this. This webinar discusses the FAR's requirements, as well as agencies' standard methodologies. It will also discuss the application of the most robust method of analysis: the Weighted Guidelines Method.

NETWORKING...FOR YOUR FUTURE!
 The presentation was first introduced at NCMA's 2017 World Congress entitled and will examine why networking is crucial for career development, help you identify what your personal purpose for networking is, and give you detailed tips to make you a future networking star (or at least more comfortable and confident!). 

Networking event at Bar Louie (Belleview Promenade location) afterward - a perfect opportunity to practice your networking skills while expanding your professional network!

National Education Seminar: Pricing and Negotiating Commercial Item Contracts
NCMA Denver will be hosting the brand new National Education Seminar. Each attendee will receive a copy of the Pricing & Negotiating Commercial Item Contracts workbook. Attendees will earn 7 CPEs by attending this one full-day seminar!
