Fulton County Sewer Rates Increase
Beginning January 1, 2019, there will be a five percent (5%) sewer rate increase for Fulton County residents. This rate increase was proposed and approved by Fulton County. This rate increase will be reflected on Fulton County resident’s that are calculated after 1/1/2019. Below are how the rates will increase:
Freezing Weather Can Cause Broken Water Mains
As the weather turns cold, water main breaks become more common. This is due to the expansion and contraction of the pipe material. If you observe water running from streets or sidewalks, please call 311.

January’s Fire and Life Safety Messages
According to a recent survey conducted by the safety science organization UL, nearly 60 percent of people sleep with their bedroom door open. That simple choice could mean life or death in the event of a house fire, as a closed door can slow the spread of flames, reduce toxic smoke, improve oxygen levels and decrease temperatures.

Close your Door: A door is one of the best pieces of firefighting equipment.
It can:
  • Reduces fire growth and spread.
  • Limit damage to your home/building.
  • Save lives.

Remember:
  • Close the bedroom door when sleeping.
  • Close doors behind you when escaping a room or building that is on fire.
  • Keep fire doors closed. Never wedge, disable, or prop open fire doors.
