Visit Exmoor AGM & Tourism Leaflet Exchange - Wednesday 13 March
The day kicks off at 11am at The Rest & Be Thankful Inn, Wheddon Cross with AGM business followed by a range of interesting presentations including tips and advice from a local multi-award-winning B&B owner, a digital specialist for small businesses, Dan James from Exmoor National Park Authority, and travel writer, Hilary Bradt.
Lunch (optional) will be served at 1pm.
The popular Leaflet Exchange will be held across the road at The Moorland Hall from 2pm – 4 pm and is an excellent opportunity to gather news and information for the forthcoming season and network with other tourism businesses. National Park pre-season briefing, 3rd April
Join the various different National Park Authority staff teams for a pre-season briefing on the latest news and initiatives coming up in the National Park. The afternoon takes place on the 3 April from 2-4pm at Exmoor House Dulverton. It will provide updates on various projects including recreation, conservation an update on the Simonsbath Project, health and well being, get involved and engagement work as well as a corporate update form Sarah Bryan, Chief Exec of the National Park Authority. English National Park Experience Collection
The Collection targeted at the International Travel Trade with 70 experiences and 60+ accommodation providers across England aims to bring international attention to what England's National Parks have to offer. More info and film here

As part of the English National Park Experience Collection, we have developed our own Ranger Experiences. There are just 10 bookable dates from June -October. We can also offer exclusive experiences.

We're delighted to let you know that 100,000 copies of our popular and informative Exmoor Visitor 2019 newspaper are now available.


Pick up free copies for you and your guests at the Leaflet Exchange (see above) or one of our National Park Centres.

You can also pick up supplies of our popular free Pocket Guides.
Lorna Doone Celebrations
Many groups and businesses are holding events throughout 2019 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first publication of this popular novel. A brand new Lorna Doone Pocket Guide will be available from National park Centres later this month. You might want to hold an event, simply use the celebrations as a way of attracting more customers. Dark Skies Festival 2019
This year's Dark Skies Festival will take place from 14th October to 3rd November.

We're stating to get dates of events together - please email KJMunro@exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk with details of your event ASAP so we can add them to our web page www.exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk/darkskiesfestival


Eat Exmoor - supporting local shops and Exmoor producers!
In the coming months we'll be working closely with some  local shops to promote the use and sale of Exmoor food and drink. If you (or a shop you use), would like to be involved please email KJMunro@Exmoor-nationlapark.gov.uk for more information.
Visit Exmoor is publishing a 2019 edition of the Eat Exmoor Guide which will be launched at the Wheddon Cross networking event on 13th March. (see above).Free copies will then be available for collection from National Park Centres and the Leaflet Exchange.
