Pledge Envelopes Available We are trying something different this year. As many people do not use envelopes, we were trying to assess how many we actually need and not waste dozens. If you use pledge envelopes at any time during the year, that's great! Just call/email/or stop by the office (301-942-4673) and let our Parish Administrator, Peter Hanke know.

Nursery, Children's Chapel and Sunday School: We welcome back Miss Mary Mutisya from her visit with family in Kenya!   We welcome back Miss Mary Mutisya from her visit with family in Kenya! During this Season of Epiphany, we holy children of God are looking for Christ's light--in ourselves and in one another.  We are also listening, making, singing, moving and doing as we find out how we share Christ's light with others.  Watch us sparkle!

At 10am
  • Chapel in the Undercroft (ages 3 through Gr. 5) We will imagine being present at The Baptism of the Lord as we hear Luke's Gospel. What do we see? What do we hear? What might it all mean?  We will sing "Holy Child of God." Miss Ann and Cindy Winder.

Following the 10am service
  • Godly Play (PreK and K): Miss Ann and the children will wonder some more about the Christmas Story and sacred space.  How does Jesus change the simple stable where he is born?  What did the magi see when the arrived?  We will look at light in many Nativity images.  We will make simple churches.
  • Living the Good News(Gr. 1-3): Stephanie Feller and the children will learn about Jesus' baptism, looking for signs of the Holy Trinity through drama and art. God loves each one of us and knows our names!

  • Living the Good News (Gr. 4-5): John Ward and the students will look at our Baptismal Service.  What promises do we make during Baptism?

Youth group this week will be combined in the Loft   Madi will introduce our new winter/spring discussion topic: Holy Men and Women! We'll be learning about martyrs, saints, storytellers, and activists who have shaped the Episcopal Church and the world with their compassion and faith. Middle and high schoolers are invited to join the conversation .
