January Pow Wow

What is a Pow Wow?
“Pow Wows are the Native American people’s way of meeting together, to join in dancing, singing, visiting, renewing old friendships, and making new ones. This is a time method to renew Native American culture and preserve the rich heritage of American Indians.”
For us Scouters, the Pow Wow is a way to get together, learn something new, share with other, rekindle old friendships and of course make new ones.  Just like the Native American definition above it’s a time to renew and preserve our rich cultures in Scouting.    The Pow Wow gives us an opportunity to participate freely in a number of learning opportunities and take that knowledge back to your units.
Who can attend?
Anyone. No uniform is required.  Parents, Den Leaders, Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, and Committee Members are all welcome to attend.  If you see something interesting, come on by and check it out.
