REGIONAL COUNCILS - UNITED CHURCH OF CANADA

Proposed on January 10, 2018 - to be finalized on January 31, 2018
Replacing the 13 Conferences & 91 Presbyteries... 17 regional councils, plus Indigenous Churches will have their own association and are welcome to join regional councils as well.

Ralph Connor will be in a regional council that covers southern Alberta (Rimbey - Ponoka and south to the border). We are also encouraged to develop "clusters" with other local congregations, and broader "networks" of congregations (now called "communities of faith") with which we have an affinity.

For maps and more information on this proposal, and the mechanism for sending feedback, see http://www.united-church.ca/news/interim-report-regional-council-boundaries

And... for more information on the structural changes coming up in the United Church, see  http://www.united-church.ca/leadership/church-administration/remit-implementation
