Beatriz Schmidt, a post-doctorate student in psychology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, co-authored her first article published in the journal, Sex Roles. She wrote the article with her Ohio State faculty mentor, Professor Sarah Schoppe-Sullivan, Department of Psychology, after spending time in Columbus as a visiting scholar. The article titled, A Qualitative Multiple Case Study of the Division of Labor across the Transition to Parenthood in South-Brazilian Families is available online. The journal is a reputed scientific source in the field of psychology and is ranked first out 41 in the category of womens studies. Schmidt also will present in Washington at the Society for Research in Child Development biannual meeting in March. |
