We’ll be exploring seven topics central to the Bible: canon, history, testaments, gospels, genre, interpretation, and grace.

We will try to pack a seven-week study into just three weeks (March 24, April 14, and April 28).

Redeemer Wednesday Evening Lenten Services :

Redeemer’s Lenten journey this year will include the use of the Holden Evening Prayer. Redeemer has used this beautiful setting of vespers before and it has always been well received by our congregation.

Holden Evening Prayer was originally written during the winter of 1986 while the composer, Marty Haugen, was the musician-in-residence at Holden Village, a Lutheran retreat center in the North Cascade mountains of Washington state.

We hope our members will attend our Lenten Wednesday evening services with renewed penitential preparation for Easter. Ash Wednesday is March 6 and Lenten services will continue March 13- April 10. Services begin at 7:00 p.m.
Our book selection for March is the 2019 All Iowa Reads choice - This Blessed Earth by Ted Genoways.

Is there still a place for the farm in today’s America?
The family farm lies at the heart of our national identity, yet its future is in peril. Rick Hammond grew up on a small ranch, and for forty years he has raised cattle and crops on his wife’s fifth-generation homestead in York County, Nebraska, in hopes of passing it on to their four children. But as the handoff nears, their small family farm―and their entire way of life―are under siege.

NOTE: In place of our regular meeting in March, we will attend the All Iowa Reads discussion of the book which will be held at the Indianola Public Library on Tuesday, March 26th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Discussion will be led by Dr. Clint Meyer.

Summer 2019:
Press on!
From Riverside Bible Camp: Registration is now open for Summer Camp 2019! You can head over to our website to learn more about all of our camp experiences, dates, detailed information, and hear about past campers' experiences at Riverside.

We are excited to see what God will do in the lives of our campers, families, and staff, as we "Press On" towards what God calls us to in Christ Jesus. Our theme verse comes from Philippians 3:13-14, "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Our desire is that this summer camp experience is one that allows students and families to experience Jesus Christ in all things and to see the kingdom of God enter into their lives on a daily basis!

If you need any assistance in getting information on camps or trying to register a camper, don't hesitate to email us at RLBC@RiversideLBC.org or call our office at 515-733-5271. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
