Be a Village Person!

This Week in Westville is your go-to source for news, events, activities and goings-on in the Westville community. Like NPR and other user-supported media, much of our operations rely on the support of our "local listeners" - you, the reader. In order for the Westville Village Renaissance Alliance to continue providing this valuable community service, we ask you to donate or join WVRA as a Village Person today! Beyond the e-news, WVRA is working every day to make Westville a brighter, safer, more vibrant place to be. To learn more about our Main Street program initiatives, from community and cultural activities, economic revitalization, traffic-calming, historic preservation, and other quality of life efforts, click HERE.

The nonprofit currently has 45 to 50 employees. The agency is under contract with the Lesley Roy studio/gallery to eventually move into some of the space there. Abrams said it will probably be a least a year before the organization can move into the former artist studio and hardware store. The studio is actually three buildings; a major renovation will transform it into usable space to accommodate the many services that the organization provides. Abrams said the purchase is still under negotiation; he hopes to come before the Board of Zoning Appeals this spring for needed relief..." Click HERE to comment and read full article.
