As we look forward to the new semester, I wanted to share our timeline for the AzMERIT testing that will be here before we know it. As many of you know, we are required to test students in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, English 9, English 10, and English 11. In addition, we must test all Biology students via the AIMS Science exam. To prepare for the exams, we have been conducting benchmarks each quarter, offering Reteach twice a week, and have now begun offering Saturday Reteach periodically. Below you will find a tentative schedule for the exams. FHHS has had significant growth on the AzMERIT exam over the past two years. Our students have had tremendous pride in taking the exams, and our teachers have had pride in teaching at the highest level. Showing growth and proficiency on the exam helps our school letter grade, gives students another highlight on their resume, and gives our faculty the data they need to continuously improve.
