Update Yahrzeit Information in Shul Cloud
If you have endured the loss of a family member and wish to be notified of the Yahrzeit please log into ShulCloud with your username and password.  Once you are in  your account click on the Yahrzeit Tab, 3rd tab
from the left  on the top. Click Add Yahrzeit. This will take you to Create New Yahrzeit. For accuracy of the notification, it is important to know if the loved one passed away before or after sundown. You will then receive a ShulCloud generated notice by email or hard copy if no email address is on file from the Synagogue prior to the date that the Yahrzeit will be observed.
If you are unable to log in or need help  to input the information into the system please contact Marsha Lustig who will be happy to help you.

Exciting Itinerary: YIS Men's Mission to Israel, February 2019 - Last call to join!

We are looking forward with great anticipation to another YIS Men's Mission to Israel, which will, once again, be a unique experiential learning and solidarity visit, set for February 2019. See the full exciting draft itinerary click here.

The theme of the trip is "Lecha Lecha: Connecting to the Land, Connecting to our People, Connecting to Yourself". We will travel to places that evoke the ancient yearnings of our ancestors for self reflection and spiritual development. We will visit Israel's South and stand in solidarity with the Jews and Chayalim of those communities. The Mission will once again be led by the talented and insightful YIS guide, Maayan Leshem along with Rabbi Morgenstern, and will culminate in an inspiring Shabbat in Yerushalayim.

The estimated ground price of the trip will be $2500/person (double occupancy, single supplement available - FLIGHTS NOT INCLUDED ) including hotel accommodations and transfers (excluding dinners) for the following itinerary:
Wednesday, Feb. 6: Beresheet Hotel in Mitzpe Ramon
Thursday, Feb. 7 - Sunday, Feb 10:  Hotel in Jerusalem TBD
Flight information: EL AL departing Newark on Tuesday, February 5th at 1:15pm, and arriving back at Newark, Monday, February 11th at 6:20am .

Michael Goldberg and Paul Heller are co-chairs of this trip. Please contact Paul, Michael or the Rabbi for more information.

Lisa Mannheim, a beloved English teacher at HOMMOCKS Middle School, is hosting a bone marrow drive on January 13 in Stamford, CT. Her only child-10 year old Emmet-has a rare blood marrow disorder. His treatments have so far been unsuccessful and he may have to undergo a bone marrow transplant. As many of your children have had Lisa as a teacher, I'm sending this to you with the hope that you could share this with your adult sons & daughters, friends, co-workers and anyone else you think might consider participating (the age group for the drive is 18-44). ** PLEASE NOTE: you do not need to attend the drive to register as a donor. You can simply register online at http://join.bethematch
.org/MatchEM. You will be sent a swab kit that you need to send back to them. Chances are 1 in 430 that you would be called to donate your bone marrow, and if you are, it is a safe and easy process. It would mean the world to Lisa and her family. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season.
