Special thanks to Officer Ferguson, the Menlo Park Police Department, and all of our amazing volunteers who come out this past week to support our 6th-grade students and bike safety! Students learned how to properly fit their helmets, hand signals, and rules of the road, and finished with a bike ride through the streets near Hillview. To continue the discussion with your child, check out these bike safety tips here put together by our friends at Parents 4 Safe Routes.

Vaping and JUULing
Recently, the vaping and JUULing trend among middle and high school students has increased in the Bay Area and across the country. Our local high schools recently sent out information in the April 15 edition of M-A BearNotes here. More information about this important topic will follow. Email Assistant Principal Danielle O'Brien with any questions here

The LunchMaster New Grab n' Go Menu
Wednesday, May 2. Hillview will be piloting the first Grab n' Go menu,
buffet style, including a side of fruits or veggies, drink, and snack. Students line up and display a special ID card from LunchMaster. We will hand out cards to LunchMaster students on Tuesday morning inhomerooms. If you are not currently a LunchMaster member, join  and enjoy a great lunch. Current LunchMaster members should cancel their pre-ordered meal for the day. The website does not reflect the Grab n' Go menu just yet, so you will not see it advertised on the menu selections.

Come enjoy our first Grab n' Go, which we hope to be offering soon, everyday at Hillview. Shaker salads, bistro boxes, sandwiches, cheeseburgers, yogurts/muffins, and hot dogs will rotate through the new menu which is different from the existing menu. Contact Debi Rice here.
