Association News
Happy New Year!

May all your endeavours be met with huge success and appreciation. Happy New Year from all of us at MCA Alberta.

Hopefully by now you have received our renewal packages in the mail. Your decision to continue supporting MCA through your annual dues commitment, your individual and staff participation at programs and events makes the MCA a great organization.

Please take the time to review, renew and let us know if you have any questions.
Edmonton member meeting

Plan to attend this complimentary member meeting. Rob Roach is a director of insight with ATB Financials Economics and Research Team, who will be our guest speaker to discuss two topics.

In his two part presentation, Rob will provide us with an economic update as he discusses current trends shaping Alberta's economy in the months and years ahead.  Then Rob will explore a selection of adaptive traits that can help us not only survive, but thrive, when unwanted change comes our way.

Bring your colleagues and join us at the Nova Hotel on January 17, from 3-5 p.m. Register here.
2018 MCA provincial conference

Save these dates: May 30 to June 3, 2018. The MCA provincial conference is back in Alberta this year, at the Delta Kananaskis Lodge with dates that have been pushed back until the end of May.

There will be some great learning opportunities with an emphasis on mentoring and networking. It will also be a fresh start to the golf season at the all new Kananaskis Country Golf Course.

Plan to come out and join your industry colleagues at this great venue and event.
Education and Training
December review

December was a busy month leading up to the holidays. MCA had a great seminar on coaching and mentoring where our enthusiastic instructor taught students how to communicate with their team. Reinforcing the idea that not everyone is the same, so the same methods don't work on the entire team.

Continue reading about the lean principles seminar and our Gastite product specific training.

About the MCAA

Since the early 1900's, Alberta's plumbers, pipefitters, steamfitters, gasfitters and mechanical contractors have utilized the united voice, programs, information, service and social network of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Alberta (MCAA).

Today, the MCAA strives to create value for its members by identifying and mitigating  issues that affect the industry, the development and delivery of high-quality education programs, providing a competitive group health insurance benefit plan, facilitating member benefit programs and services, and providing opportunity for social and professional networking.
