Gracenote's Potential Impact on Indian Music Market
An interview with Queensbury-based Gracenote's General Manager, Brian Hamilton, revealed interesting connections between this local company and the development of the music market in India.
"As the world's second largest mobile market, India is very much in a growth stage and on its way to becoming a mature music market...
An independent focus on music centering on artist development, coaching and building brand recognition beyond the movie is important to grow the music industry beyond Bollywood...We anticipate the trend of increasing consumption of Indian music by listeners around the world will continue with Gracenote Global Music Data as a major facilitator," he added.

JUST Water's UK Launch Promo features Actor Will Smith
JUST Water had some fun with its product launch in the UK last week, with actor Will Smith (father of JUST Water founder Jaden Smith) greeting shoppers in a London store called Boots. While JUST Water's product in the U.S. is bottled in its Glens Falls-Queensbury operations, the UK water source is in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.

Warren County Tourism Dept. Seeks 2019 Travel Guide Information and Advertising
In a recent email to area organizations and businesses, the Warren County Tourism Department noted it is already working on the 2019 Travel Guide and seeking input from local businesses and municipalities:
Our 2018 Lake George Area Guide was touted as an example of how a travel guideshould be designed at this year's New York State Travel Industry Association conference session "The Travel Guide of Tomorrow." The 2019 Guide will expand on that success and continue to serve as an inspiration piece to visit the Lake George Area and utilize our website as a vacation planning resource.

Park Theater's Fall Schedule of Entertainment Available
The recently completed Park Theater has posted its schedule of fall entertainment and performances. This refurbished historic theater will bring additional visitors to downtown Glens Falls to enjoy this creative space for the arts.

As you may already know, the Lakes to Locks Passage route is one of the few roadways in America that is featured as a "premier destination" by the Federal Highway Administration.

WWII Aircraft Display Coming to Queensbury
In honor of WWII veterans, from September 10-13 The Collings Foundation's Wings of Freedom Tour will bring an extremely rare bomber and fighter aircraft for a local living history display as part of a 110-city nationwide tour.
Visitors are invited to explore the aircraft inside and out; $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12 is requested for access to up-close viewing and tours through the inside of the aircraft. Visitors may also experience the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to actually take a 30-minute flight aboard these rare aircraft or have flight training. Demographic Shift Underway in Younger Generations
A large demographic shift is emerging in the younger generations. By 2019, 32% of population will be Gen Z (defined for this article as those born after 2000), edging out Millennials (defined for this article as those born between 1980 and 2000) at 31%.
