How long have you served with NLAI?
1 0 years

What is your role at NLCH?
I serve as Sub-Director at NLCH. This means I oversee all short-term missions, the security team, the teenager's work program, high school studies, and I also handle many other details.

What is your favorite thing time of year at NLCH?
I like it when we have pizza nights or some special food and we all get to share it and have fun together.

Tell us about a story of transformation:
We have been at NLCH long enough to see many of the kids grow up. When they leave, they go through a phase of growth and adaptation to the world outside of NLCH. It's fulfilling to see kids grow up in new ways, become more mature, and to see them walk with the Lord by their own decision.

How can we pray for you?
A prayer request would be for guidance from God as we guide our three kids and all the kids at NLCH and that they would make decisions to trust God in all areas of their lives.

What is your role at NLCH?
Until we had 3 children, I helped with the accounting at NLCH.  Now I'm pretty much a full-time mom homeschooling our oldest two.  After they go to bed, six nights a week teenage girls come over.  Currently we're reading through the New Testament (we're almost through!) and talk about a variety of topics from how school is going, their dream weddings, their families, etc.  There's rarely a quiet moment.

What is your favorite thing time of year at NLCH?
I like Christmas and Easter morning breakfasts together and the 3 weeks after Christmas and before school starts.  During that time the younger ones spend time outside with new toys from Christmas and the buzz of the beginning of a new school year is fun.

Tell us about a story of transformation:
In November 2017, a small group of teenage girls started coming over nightly to read through the New Testament. One night after reading part of Ephesians one girl piped up out of nowhere and said, "You know what I've learned.... God isn't mean." She went on to talk about how she's always viewed God as mean and punishing, but that she was seeing his kindness.  I hope I never forget that and as we continue I hope that we all learn more of that.

Tell us about your family.
Lee and I have been married for 10 years and have three kids who were all born in Guatemala.  They claim their Texas heritage by calling themselves "Texamalans".  Canon is 8, all boy, and thriving in home school.  Ainslee is 6, all princess, and loves art.  Karis is 3, keeps us laughing, and loves dogs and the trampoline.

How can we pray for you?
For wisdom - as we parent young children and have influence in the lives of many other kids.
