AIR State Tests
Math and science state testing starts next week.  All students will take Part I of the math test on Tuesday and Part II on Wednesday.  Students in grades 5 and 8 will take the science test on Thursday.  Outside of the statewide glitch with the AIR platform, the first round of testing went extremely well and I am sure our kids did a great job.  I expect that they will do just as good next week!

As always, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher, counselor, grade level principal, or me with any questions throughout the year.

Thanks,
Jeff

Food Services/Summer Food Service Program
Free and Reduced breakfast and lunches can be applied for at any time during the year. Eligibility entitles your child to both breakfast and lunch. All menu items qualify for a meal. This includes pizza, salad bar, all sandwiches, hot entrees, fruit, vegetable, and milk.
Applications can be found under InfoSnap on the District's website. Log on with your child's student ID. Download the form and print. Submit the form to the school's Food Service Department. Please be sure and fill in all fields, including the signature at the bottom.
If your child is currently eligible for the free or reduced program, the application must be filled out and submitted every year, no later than the end of September, so service is not interrupted.
For questions, please contact the Food Service Director, Mary Ellen Feigi, at 440-582-9041 or [email protected]

Additionally, all children ages 1 through 18 are eligible to receive free meals during the summer months at participating program sites.  Individuals ages 19 through 21 who have been identified as having mental or psychical disabilities and are following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) through their current enrollment in education programs also are eligible for free summer meals.   Summer meals are available at the Parma Library, 6996 Powers Blvd, Parma, Ohio.  For more information, call 440-885-5362.
