Faculty Discounts for CSOMA

Participate in the Profession!

August 22nd, 2017

Dear Faculty:

The California State Oriental Medical Association (CSOMA) is excited to announce a new discounted professional membership category open to all licensed faculty members at California TCM and OM teaching institutions. This includes all part-time or full-time didactic or clinical instructors.

Under this new initiative, faculty members would have access to full membership benefits for $175 per year, half the rate of current membership dues. The faculty membership program recognizes the vital role that you play in preparing future licensed acupuncturists to be successful practitioners and acknowledges the tremendous contributions that you make to help shape the future of our profession.

This faculty membership recruitment drive is just one part of a broader effort for CSOMA to establish a greater presence at the more than 15 TCM/OM teaching institutions in the state and to provide greater support to faculty, students, and school administrations. Membership ensures that you have access to current and relevant state legislation and initiatives regarding the profession and the opportunity to get involved in shaping future public policy.

The future of the profession is CSOMA's number one priority, and our strength as an advocacy organization lies within our constituents. In a dynamic healthcare landscape, we all need to do our part in building a strong, vibrant, and unified association that will shape the future for our growing profession.

Key features of your CSOMA Professional Faculty Membership include:

  • Discounted membership dues that honor your time commitment already being made

  • Concurrent membership in our national advocacy organization, the American Society of Acupuncturists (ASA)

  • CSOMA sponsored CEU workshops and conferences at a discounted rate

  • Vendor discounts including, Lhasa OMS, Golden Needle, Blue Poppy and Evergreen Herbs

  • Discounted insurance rates through MIEC

  • Mentorship opportunities for newly licensed practitioners

  • Practice Management Toolbox- free access to CSOMA members. A growing library of tools to help improve your practice.

  • Networking opportunities both within the profession and in the greater healthcare industry

  • Access to current and past issues of the California Journal of Oriental Medicine (CJOM)

  • A free subscription to Meridians: The Journal of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a Medline-compliant, peer reviewed journal features scientific articles focusing on the professional practice of acupuncture and Oriental medicine.

  • Up-to date information of the most current state and national legislation and initiatives affecting the practice of acupuncture and oriental medicine, AOM.

We hope you will participate in this exciting opportunity and we look forward to welcoming you as a CSOMA faculty member.

Please take a moment to view all the features and new information provided on our updated website.
