Launch of the Congress Advisory Committee on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization (EDID): As announced on July 30, this committee of experts, chaired by Dr. Malinda S. Smith, will help the Federation identify and address barriers to equitable, diversely and inclusive participation in Congress and other events. Read more.

Launch of the Task Force on Congress Contingency Planning: Also announced on July 30, the Task Force will provide recommendations to the Federation following an assessment of risks for Congress 2021 and future Congresses. The Task Force has since met four times and one clear outcome from the preliminary discussions is that we need to plan in advance for a Congress during which people can participate virtually. Submit a nominee for the Governor General Innovation awards! The Federation is a nominating partner for the 2021 Governor General Innovation awards. The objectives of the awards are to celebrate excellence in innovation across all sectors of Canadian society and inspire Canadians, particularly Canadian youth, to be entrepreneurial innovators.
