Newsletter: January 2019
Throughout 2018, thousands of individuals and organizations donated their time and resources to bettering the lives of young people in our community. Whether it was equipping kids with the skills they need to manage money, teaching high school students how to dress for their first job interview, or igniting the entrepreneurial spirit, you made a difference. Somewhere along your journey, chances are there was an individual(s) who encouraged you to realize your potential; someone who believed in you and let you know “you can do anything you set your mind to.” Oftentimes we don’t realize the impact this support had on our lives until much later in life. As we close out 2018 and look ahead to an exciting 2019, know that your support transformed “I can’t” into “I can” for so many young people throughout Greater Cleveland. You are spreading the same wisdom and encouragement many of us received long ago.

The holiday season provides a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the many reasons we have to be grateful. This year, I am especially grateful for the countless people who volunteered their time and resources to improve the lives of others. The Greater Cleveland community and our young people are better off as a result of your efforts. I am thankful for the opportunity to work alongside the incredible Junior Achievement staff, working tirelessly to connect our business community with the classroom.

In 2019, we will continue to update you on the work we are doing in the community via these monthly newsletters. We hope you will take a few minutes each month to learn more about our programming, opportunities to get involved and some of the amazing people who enable Junior Achievement to serve young people in our community.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, the staff at Junior Achievement and the young people we serve, Happy New Year and thank you for all that you do!

Joe Faulhaber, President of Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland
