PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:
Hope and Work in 2019

I hope this finds all of you somewhat rested from all the holiday rush and enjoying 2019.  It most certainly is nice to know a Republican is in the Governor's chair again. Even though we hold a strong majority in the Senate, as of this publication, there is a 20/20 split in the House.
We as citizens must be heard in order to assure the Governor's goals are carried out. As you are aware there will be many in Juneau fighting to keep everything "status quo."
The same goes for our President.  There is a call to action at the bottom of this newsletter and we ask all of you take the time to call our delegation with the message.
If you have not renewed your membership please do so this month at link on the left of this newsletter.  We appreciate and need your continued support.

Stay warm and hope to see all of you soon,
  Judy

ANCHORAGE INAUGURAL BALL

LINCOLN DAY 2019
We are in the midst of firming a date in February for our Lincoln Day and will let everyone know as soon as we have it firm.

Are you interested in helping with this annual event? Please let me know if you are.  We are always looking for good live auctions to help in our fundraising.  Got an idea?  Know someone with a condo in a desirable place, willing to donate AK Air miles? Please let us know.

ACTION ALERT: CONTACT DELEGATION ABOUT GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN!

We are joining several other women's clubs in contacting our delegation with a very short message:
"The WALL must be built
and shutdown ended!"
Sen. Lisa Murkowski   907-271-3735
Sen. Dan Sullivan        907-271-5915
Rep. Don Young           907-563-4314

Please take the time to call with this short message. We are calling Anchorage offices for better response.  Tough to get in on DC lines. Let's show our President support on this issue.
