This Sunday, April 29, we are delighted to partner with and host
Muslimish for an extended conference event, featuring
Ali Rizvi: author of
T
he Atheist Muslim, physician, musician, and advocate for secularism and science in the Muslim community, who has been featured in the
New York Times, The Atlantic, CNN, The Huffington Post, CBC, BBC, The Globe, The Mail and a range of other media outlets.
Other speakers will include
Wissam Charafeddine, co-founder of Muslimish, Arab-American educator, engineer, entrepreneur, former Imam and a current Islamic reformer and secular activist;
Hannah A., Muslimish NYC co-organizer, Master's candidate of Middle Eastern studies & religious studies, City College of NYC;
Rafya Oskui, Muslimish co-organizer, business owner, healthcare professional, Pakistani-American, women's rights activist; and
Ginan Rauf, Muslimish historian, secular humanist, feminist, and educator with PhD in Comparative Literature from Harvard.
Refreshments will be provided. For increased security, please plan to check in with ID upon arrival - all bags are subject to inspection.
