Parting Words
My heart is full as I write my last Goldensun newsletter and my husband and I prepare to move to Michigan.
Goldensun is unique and strong because of a sense of community and teamwork. This community is built on an appreciation for the vital and varied roles each team member plays in this game of life for those with different abilities. Don't ever underestimate how important YOU are to this community. Member, staff, donor, prayer warrior, volunteer, or board member - keep playing your part on this team.
In athletics, teams are successful when each player:
- buys in to the team's game plan,
- recognizes the importance of their roe,
- plays their role with excellence,
- appreciates and encourages the different roles of their teammates
- aligns themselves under an excellent coach.
Encourage, uplift and edify one another. Pray for one another. Choose your battles. Play to win!
And remember that any challenges that may arise are opportunities to lean into each other - your strong team. Most importantly, keep yourselves aligned with The Coach, Jesus Christ.
Thank you for allowing me to continue to be a part of this team, although in a different role. I am confident that the mission of Goldensun will continue to flourish as we have a strong interim team who will continue the great work already being accomplished.
