April Public Art Committee Updates!
We have exciting news! The City of Missoula Public Art Committee has installed the University of Montana Pilot Program art work! The Committee began initial conversation with the University of Montana School of Art in August 2017. As April comes to a close, we are pleased to announce the very first installation of UofM School of Art student work in two public City buildings. Art is located in both City Hall (435 Ryman) and City Council Chambers (140 W. Pine). We are excited about this partnership and are truly impressed by our student applicants' talent! Check out pictures from installation, below:

Andrea Morawic
Danielle LaGoy
Danielle Turner
Jeannette Hammerstein
Riley Knaup
We hope for this endeavor to continue in the coming years and to consistently cycle UofM School of Art student work onto these walls and ideally into more public Missoula space in the future. Not only have City of Missoula offices been livened up, but these University of Montana art students have had the
opportunity
to explore the public art process in a tangible way. What a fruitful partnership!
