The San José Housing Department is pleased to provide this notice of the City's proposed Substantial Amendment to the approved use of its federal Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds as part of the City's FY 2017-18 Annual Action Plan. The proposal would reallocate available ESG funds to provide additional homelessness prevention services for individuals and families.

These proposed changes qualify as a Substantial Amendment to the Annual Action Plan, which requires public outreach as specified in the City's Citizen Participation Plan for federal housing programs. The City of San José posted a public notice of the proposed Substantial Amendment in five newspapers. Additionally, two public hearings will be held to provide opportunities for public input.
