Education Programs  
Children and Family Programs

We have a variety of programs planned this winter to help you beat the winter blues and get outside in nature!  Please click on the titles below to find out more information and to register!
  • Winter Tales  (for children ages 3 to 5 with an adult) : Explore the world of endangered species!
  • Family Arboretum Challenge  (for families with children ages 4 and up): Can you find the hidden clues and decipher the code?
  • Tap that Tree  (for families with children ages 4 and up): Help tap the trees for this winter's sap run.
  • Kids Can Cook  (for children ages 4 and up with an adult): Children and adults will work together to prepare classic comfort foods with a twist.
  • Nature of Glass  (for ages 8 and up): RRA is excited to partner with the Morris County School of Glass to offer several programs together.  It's a wonderful way to try your hand at glassblowing and connect with nature!

'The Shift' Movie Screening and Discussion
Sunday, January 27 from 2 :00 pm to 4:00 pm

This entertaining film, featuring Dr. Wayne Dyer and produced by Hay House, not only inspires but also teaches us how to create a life of meaning and purpose.  Martha Beck Master Certified Coach, Deborah Munies, will facilitate the discussion, peppering it with her own inspiration and coaching tips. Seating is limited and registration is required.

Becoming You, An Evening of Reflection, Support and Inspiration
Wednesday, February 6 from 7 :30 pm to 9:00 pm

Join us for a special evening of community with other women gathering to talk about life, the path, choices, how we got here and where we want to go.  Inspired by the book Becoming by Michelle Obama.

It is not necessary to read the book to enjoy the evening's discussion. Bringing a friend for additional support is always welcome!

MLK Day of Service
Monday, January 21 from 9 :00 am to 12:00 pm

Stop by the Stackhouse Education Center to create a unique card from recycled materials. On Valentine's Day, your card will warm the heart of a patient in a local hospital. Appropriate for all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration is required.
