Alberta "Creative Sentencing” Initiative
MCA was awarded funding provided by the Alberta Provincial court ”Creative Sentencing” Initiative in the aftermath of a serious workplace incident which led to a fatality. We have created two courses with input from you the mechanical contractor owners and safety managers. We encourage members to participate in one or both of the following programs.

Skills Exploration Days comes to Edmonton
|
Skills Canada is currently recruiting volunteer industry experts to assist at the Learn-A-Skill stations at
Skills Exploration Days
in Edmonton. Please contact the MCA office if you have any interest and availability by calling 403-250-3724.
Find Skills Canada in Edmonton between January 22-23, 2019 8:00am – 3:30pm
Volunteers will assist Jr High students at the Plumbing Learn-a-Skill station. The Learn-A-Skill stations allow students to explore their interests and passions as they learn about various career possibilities. In the morning on each day, groups of 24 students will rotate through the Plumbing station every 20 minutes for an opportunity for students to work one-on-one with industry experts using real life plumbing tools and materials. In the afternoon on each day, volunteers will assist students in the Plumbing station helping them use various plumbing materials and tools as they build a prototype that is associated with their design challenge.
Note: Free Parking, Free Lunch, and Volunteer T-Shirts will be provided
