The 2016 release of the free HEC-RAS 2D modelling sotware generated a tremendous amount of interest over the past year. We held fifteen training courses around Australia and New Zealand in 2016 and have now scheduled our next round of courses for 2017.

The latest release of HEC-RAS includes 2D hydraulics, water quality, sediment transport, and bank erosion modelling as well as improved dam break simulations and GIS interfacing through RAS Mapper. We invite you to advance your career and further your hydraulic modelling capabilities by joining us for these engaging, interactive training workshops:
If your preferred city is not listed, please fill out the expression of interest form and we'll let you know when the next training opportunity will be in your area.
We have had great feedback from our 2016 courses in Auckland, Hobart, Melbourne, Bendigo, Brisbane, Perth, and Sydney. Who attends? What are they saying?
Course Contents

Our intensive 2-day courses focus on 2D model development in HEC-RAS and will prepare attendees to build, run, view, and interpret 2D and coupled 1D/2D models using HEC-RAS 5.0. In addition, the courses include an introduction to dam break capabilities within HEC-RAS as well as presenting newly published benchmarking studies comparing HEC-RAS 5.0 to other 2D models, including TUFLOW and MIKE.

Customised, in-house courses and consulting services are also available for a wide range of civil engineering and water resources subjects.
