Dear Christian Friends,
Easter Sunday was a wonderful day! The music at each service was outstanding, and our joy in the resurrection was overwhelming. We baptized nine young people at the 9:00AM service! Christ is risen!
The question now, the week after Easter, is what will we do with the resurrection? How will our lives be changed by the risen Christ? What difference will the living Christ make in us?
One way that the resurrection manifests itself in our lives is to cause us to reach out in love to others. We want to share the gift of God's love with everyone. We want to make a difference in other people's lives, just as Christ has made a difference in our lives.
How will you do that? How will you share God's love and compassion with those around you?
Together, let's transform our world for Christ!

Practical, informative and written in laypersons terms, I'll Have it My Way is a how-to book made personal as you answer questions that will help you to select a proxy and to provide your friends and family with a few simple instructions and wishes. Every person who wants to direct his or her own health care will benefit from this book.

You are more likely to encounter someone in an emotional or mental crisis than someone having a heart attack. The Mental Health First Aid class teaches a 5-step action plan to offer initial help to people with the signs and symptoms of a mental illness or in a crisis, and connect them with the appropriate care. Mental Health First Aid is for anyone- parents, neighbors, students, first responders, teachers, leaders of faith communities, human resources professionals, and caring citizens. Help the abused and unwanted pets at the Humane Society of Central Illinois by participating in our first 5K Fun Run/Walk, the Doggie Dawdle!
If you are a Dasher (runner) or Dawdler (walker), you will have a place among our animal lovers. At this non-competitive fun-run/walk, everyone is a winner. So, no awards will be given to participants.
Please check in at the registration table between 8:30-9:00 a.m. The race will begin at 9:00 a.m. You must check-in to receive your bib for participation. Parking will be available at the North Pavilion of Tipton Park.

Relay for Life

The Relay for Life Survivors Committee, part of Relay for Life of McLean County, which is part of the American Cancer Society's Fight against Cancer,
is asking for your help.
We have for many years had a Survivors' Walk as part of the Opening Ceremonies at The Relay event each June. To start this process we invite ALL Cancer Survivors to contact us and give us a few facts about their cancer, and PERMISSION TO USE THEIR NAME in our listing of Cancer Survivors. That is all that the survivors need to do. We will invite them to the Survivors' Free Dinner and entertainment that evening. Attendance is not required and if they come but can't walk around the track we will provide them a ride around the track for the Survivors' Lap.

This will be the third annual event held in honor of Max Chapman, son of FCC members Todd and Corin Chapman, who was diagnosed in January, 2015 with a very serious, ultimately fatal genetic condition called Peroxisomal Biogenesis Disorder (PBD). All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Global Foundation for Peroxisomal Disorders (GFPD), a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity founded in 2010 to fund medical research and support families affected by BPD.
