Calvert Arts Festival
A Call for Publicity Help
The CAF teams NEEDS YOUR HELP! As we have already reported, we have a goal to raise $10K by October 10th to benefit the children of Calvert County. We can surely reach that goal if you help us get the word out online. You can also help us support our loyal artisans by publicizing our September Artisan Showcase.

While most of All Saints’ programming currently takes place via email and Zoom, many of our communications, “marketing”, and interactions with current and potential friends takes place online. The CAF team would like you to assist in our marketing and communications efforts by taking advantage of your online and social media networks.

We're not asking for a single, hours-long effort on your part, but rather a simple, no cost effort to keep All Saints Parish and Calvert Arts Festival top of mind when you are interacting online. We are asking you to take just a couple of online minutes 2-3 times a week to share your love of All Saints’ Parish and, of course, the Calvert Arts Festival.

Now, you might wonder how you could possibly contribute to our success. Given the amplifying power of social media, there is no telling how wide or deep an effect you might have by liking, sharing or posting. Below is a short guide for utilizing the Facebook platform where we focus most of our communications efforts. (If you do not have a Facebook account, other family members can help in this effort!)

First and foremost, have fun and be yourself! Your personal voice is what will help make sharing our Calvert Arts Festival and All Saints’ content with your family and friends successful.

If you haven’t already done so, please LIKE our Facebook Pages at https://www.facebook.com/calvertartsfestival/ and https://www.facebook.com/allsaints1692/. You can do this by scrolling down until you see the thumb next to the word “LIKE” and press it.  Please invite your friends and neighbors to LIKE us as well.

Our goal is always to reach and engage as many people as possible. When reacting to our posts, “Love” (heart emoji) will garner a higher rate of engagement than “Like” (thumbs up emoji), though it is not necessary to “Love” every post of ours. To do so, put your mouse over “Like” on a post, and click the “Heart” emoji.

Commenting garners more engagement than a react emoji. To comment, simply type in the box under the post where it says, “Write a comment.” A quick comment on a CAF could be something as simple as “creative jewelry” or “beautiful pottery”.

A Share is the highest form of engagement on Facebook. Simply click Share on the bottom of the post and the select “Share”. When Sharing any of our content, it’s best to write a few words of your own, such as, “This is great!”, “WOW!”, or “Check out this artisan’s website”.

Interacting with our posts shows Facebook that our page and posts are relevant and worthy of sending out to many others. The more we all react, comment and share, the more people will know what is going on in the Calvert Arts Festival world, as well as what's happening at All Saints'.
Of course, focusing on the “We Love Calvert Arts Festival 10K Benefit for Children” and our vendor showcase for the next 30 days is our critical mission!

Don’t forget that you can also make a difference by sending the current CAF Benefit flyer to friends, family, neighbors and co-workers via email. Invite them to participate. Help us make a difference in the lives of Calvert County children and youth! Thanks, in advance, for your publicity assistance.
