Faerie Tale a
Stunning Showcase of SBC
Audiences were delighted with SBC's production of
Faerie Tale on April 14 & 15, 2018, at Sangamon Auditorium.
Families enjoyed a pre-show Faerie Princess Party hosted by
Springfield Youth Performance Group; a beautiful performance featuring our Company dancers and guest performers; and a photo opportunity with Titania, Snow White and Cinderella following the show.

Why a Pointe Shoe Fund?
Made by hand with materials such as satin, glue, and leather, pointe shoes are constructed with extreme precision. One pair of pointe shoes can cost between $75 and $100. They are designed to break down and mold to the foot of a dancer allowing for those breathtaking moments we see on stage during Springfield Ballet Company performances.
But they don't last long. Some pairs only last a single performance; others at most, just a few weeks of rehearsals. That's why SBC is dedicated to giving our dancers the tools they need to gracefully stay on their toes.

Open Auditions for SBC's 2018-2019 Season Company Dancers and Trainees

The Springfield Ballet Company will be holding open auditions to select Company Dancers and Trainees for its upcoming 2018-2019 season.
Auditions will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Hoogland Center for the Arts, Theatre II, 420 S. Sixth St., Springfield, IL 62701. The audition fee is $20.
The auditon will consist of a 90-minute classical ballet class.
Dancers should arrive 30 minutes early to register. Ladies should have their hair secured in a tight bun and must wear a black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes and/or pointe shoes. No skirts will be allowed. Men should wear black pants, a white T-shirt and black ballet or jazz shoes.
