DEM data for Australia

New sets of digital elevation model data - much of it at a 1-metre resolution - has become publicly available. Check the coverage and download the datasets here.

Here's what's new in HEC-RAS 5.0.4:

Download the new version here and give it a play! Watch our free instructional videos to check out some of the exciting and powerful new features in HEC-RAS 5.0.4:

RAS Mapper functionality. Build a 1D geometry from scratch directly in RAS Mapper. No more HEC-GeoRAS!
Culvert improvements. Use barrel centerline coordinates to define culvert locations anywhere in your model.
Mesh polygons. Use refinement areas to change mesh resolution anywhere inside your 2D Flow Area.
Internal boundary conditions. Add inflow anywhere you'd like inside your 2D Flow Area
Variable time steps. Use Courant Number criteria to automatically adjust time steps and optimise run times.
Rating curves. Automatically generate rating curves.

During the beta testing phase, we ran dozens of models through both 5.0.3 and 5.0.4 and noted significant speed improvements, with 5.0.4 models running two to three times faster!

For those unable to attend face-to-face courses, our interactive online courses are available through the Australian Water School for just $195 per module. Our first online course is limited to the first 20 respondents, so please register early to guarantee your place!
