This new light source is so exciting. Every day brings a new type of LED light source to broaden the selection. And at a better price.
In the above photo, Team 7 has used a sensor controlled strip light that runs down the door that lights up the interior of its natural walnut cabinet interiors.
You as the consumer have fueled the demand for brighter light out puts and thinner profiles.
The square or round flush ceiling mounted slim styles in 4 1/2” x 4 1/2” and 6” x 6” is becoming very popular instead of pot lights. See photo below. With its 9 watts of consumption and ever bright light source that will last 15 years or more, they can work for all new construction and renovations by hooking up to a simple j box. That means you do not need a ceiling cavity to have a recessed light look. It eliminates insulated boxes and cans as it is a cool light source.
Still expect to pay double the cost of over conventional lighting per light. But it runs on a fraction of the cost of conventional lights and never need a bulb replaced.
