Town information for the holiday season 
On behalf of all of us at the Town of Oakville, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season! 

Please note that Town Hall will be closed at noon on December 24 until January 2, but all online services will be available.

During the holidays, town staff will continue to ensure that snow plows and salt trucks are prepared to respond to weather activity.

To report emergencies related to roads, traffic lights and signs, parks, trees or flooding, call 905-845-6601 to be connected with our after hours service.
New Year's Levee on January 5

Members of Council and I would like to invite you and your family to join us at the annual New Year's Levee on Sunday, January 5 from 1 to 3 p.m.  Festivities will take place in the South Atrium at Town Hall.
The event will feature brief remarks from yours truly and some musical entertainment.
Come enjoy some light refreshments and celebrate the new year with us!
 
Council approves 2020 Budget

On Monday, December 16, Council unanimously approved the town's operating and capital budgets for 2020.
Residents will see a 3.08 per cent increase to the town's portion of the tax bill, for an overall property tax increase of 2 per cent when the approved Halton Region and expected educational tax levies are included. The budget invests in new infrastructure and ensures the town's long-term fiscal sustainability.


Council business at Town Hall

The first Planning and Development Council meeting of 2020 will take place on January 13. 
The first Town Council meeting is scheduled for January 27.
In an effort to make it easier and more convenient for the public to participate in local government, Oakville Town Council is adopting a revised Council and Committee structure starting in 2020.
