At the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, we make giving simple so you can focus on growing your organization. Not only do we handle all the administrative and legal requirements associated with your endowment, but we can also help your donors give much more than the standard cash gift.

While your organization may not have the capability to accept something like a gift of real estate, you can trust at the Community Foundation, we have seen it all. Whether it is an IRA charitable rollover, real estate, retirement plan assets, investments, business assets, oil and gas interests or royalty interests, our team can help your donors find a way to give their largest possible gift.

And when it comes to planning for the future, our breadth of experience is even broader. We can make leaving a percentage, the residual or the entirety of an estate simple. In addition, we can help donors plan to leverage their assets to give to charity while avoiding taxes, generating income and providing for their families.

Don't pass up the opportunity to let us help you grow your endowment fund! Contact Joe Carter at 405/606-2914 to learn more about how we can help your donors plan for both today and tomorrow.

Planned gifts and endowments work hand in hand to set organizations up for a sustainable future. However intimidating it can be to approach a donor for a planned gift, cultivating donors for these larger, long-term gifts provides benefits to which annual campaigns cannot compare. The following articles share how an effective planned giving program engages donors and leads to a more robust endowment, supporting your organization in perpetuity.

gso Tips for Transparency

For donors looking to make an impact, an endowment fund  is a  sig n of your organization's stability. It tells donors that you are committed to continuing your mission. Promoting your endowment fund through your GiveSmartOKC profile helps you spread the word that you are investing donations to help secure your future.

Your Give SmartOKC profile offers your organization a couple of opportunities to promote your endowment fund. On the far right bar of your profile, you're allowed to add a link for donors to give directly to your endowment fund. In addition, the summary tab on your profile allows you to describe the ways in which a donor can give. We recommend explaining how donors can help grow your endowment fund using many types of gifts .

If you have questions, contact Kelley Barnes at 405/606-2942.

Reminder: Annual Profile Updates
If your organization's fiscal year ended Dec. 31, please remember to review and update your financials, current fiscal year budget projections and board list to maintain your Give SmartOKC profile. When updating your Give SmartOKC profile, don't forget to click the "Send to Community Foundation" button that notifies our staff to review and accept your changes.
