Gallery Volunteers Needed
We are still open! Because we love our artists so much, we want to showcase them as much as possible. Besides being open during and after movies, we have gallery hours on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm throughout January.

Volunteers, we would love your help in keeping the gallery open on Saturdays. Please help us make that happen!

Please email TLCFAGalleryManager@gmail.com to sign up. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Hearing/Visually Impaired Adaptive Equipment
We have been looking at equipment to help our hearing and visually impaired patrons for several years now.  Recently we received enough funding to put a down payment on a system, and we should have it in place soon.

The total cost of this system is about $3,000, and we have raised about half of the amount needed to purchase the equipment.

We also have been given an anonymous gift of a set of wireless headsets that don't work with our present movie system, but will work with our PA system so that they can be used at lectures, presentations and concerts. At concerts, the "earmuff" style headsets will reduce the sound for those who feel it is too loud and give them individual control over what they hear.

We need donations to pay the balance of the hearing/visually impaired system when we get the bill this month. The Three Lakes Lions Club has agreed to donate $200 towards the hearing-impaired equipment if we can get matching funds.

"For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Three Lakes Center for the Arts. I've chosen this nonprofit because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope you'll consider contributing as a way to celebrate with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal."

Collette Sorgel, TLCFA President

Three Lake Library Expansion

The Three Lakes Center for the Arts is working on a collaboration with the Three Lakes Library to find housing for the Library programs during the new Library building transition, while also expanding the Art Center's own class offerings!

The new building, which they are still fundraising to furnish, will feature an exciting Maker's Space that will be able to house community enrichment programs once completed.

We are very excited to partner with the Library at this time, and hope to offer mutual support to one another moving forward as we look into how we can best serve our community.

We look forward to offering year-round programming to offset the wonderful programs that are already in place.

Please share with us your ideas and requests as we look into creating a new schedule of after-school art programs, high school weekend seminars, and adult programs with the Library!

TLCFA 2018 Ball

Mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, September 8, 2018.

TLCFA's annual ball was a rousing success again this year! Our biggest fundraiser of the year, the 'Blue Moon' theme provided a beautiful backdrop for an evening of good food, music, friends and funds for the arts.

This year several local farms contributed provisions for the meal, including Mile Crossing and James Lakes farms in Three Lakes, as well as Evergood and Camp Four Farms in Sugar Camp. Fika Bakery and Coffee prepared yummy desserts, and Catering by Jillian served a great meal. Nicole Nowlin of the Black Forest created a craft cocktail for the event.

Thank you to all our volunteers and supporters who helped make the Ball a success again this year. As always, mark your calendars for the Saturday after Labor Day next year!
