ASWB and Continuing Competence
Each social work regulatory board has final authority in accepting any continuing education.  
ASWB's Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program approves providers of social work continuing education. ASWB approves social work continuing education courses for the state of New Jersey. These approvals are separate processes.

Courses offered by ACE providers will not be accepted in New Jersey unless those courses have also been approved through the New Jersey CE course approval process.

Adding a format
Please be reminded that as an ACE provider you may offer courses only in the formats that you have specifically been approved for. If you wish to offer a course in a new format, you must apply to be approved to offer that format and receive approval before offering CE credit. Contact Karen Crowe  with questions.

Resumes required for course speakers
When submitting a specific course for approval, remember that we require a comprehensive resume or curriculum vitae (CV) for every speaker providing course content. Each speaker's resume/CV must list all degrees, licenses, jobs, and training and must demonstrate the speaker's skills and experience to teach the content of the course.
An instructor bio is not acceptable in place of a resume or CV. In cases where a provider would like to add a new speaker to the list of approved speakers for a previously approved course, we need a resume or CV. Requests for approval of new speakers must be submitted to the NJ CE Course Approval Program (CAP) at least two weeks before the course date and approval received before they may teach a course.
