Library Behind the Scenes!
The Saskatchewan Library Association partnered with Regina Public Library to present Library Behind the Scenes at RPL's Regent Place Branch on the afternoon of Saturday December 9.  The event was intended to highlight all the things that public libraries do beyond books - programs, technology, community engagement and more.  There was also a trade show featuring various RPL units including Business Services, Outreach & Homebound, Tech Services, Writer-in-Residence and more.

SLA had a table in the trade show and received lots of interest and questions from the general public.  The highlight of the day was a performance by Mother Teresa Middle School's "Buffalo Boys" Indigenous dance and drumming group.  We are now looking at ways to create a template of information and activities that were offered so that other public libraries across the province who wanted to do something similar could do so "out of the box".

Thanks again to all the staff at RPL who were involved in creating such a successful event
