Volume:4  Issue: 25 March 17
Dear Assumption Family,

The safety and security of your children is the most important task we undertake as educators. overt the last month I formed a committee of Assumption teachers to review sample bullying procedures from area school districts. The purpose was to codify our procedures of dealing with suspected bullying.

The result is the document attached  below.  The procedure outlines the definitions of bullying and harassment, reporting and investigation process, as well as the consequences assigned for verified acts of bullying.

Please read the document carefully. At the end of the document you will find reporting forms. Any student, parent, or staff member can use the reporting
form to report suspected bullying. This will kickoff the investigation process.  These forms will be available  in  classrooms as well as outside the main office. A mailbox has also been installed outside the office for students to make anonymous
 reports of bullying.

Teachers will be reviewing this procedure this week in class.  As of Monday 3/18/19 this procedure will officially be instituted.

I invite all parents to review and discuss this procedure or any other issues with me personally on Wednesday morning at our Coffee and Conversation event. Please join me at 7:45 am in the Multipurpose Room in the school for coffee, goodies, and open dialogue . Your children are welcomed in the before school room as you attend the event. Please email Jody Gourley at office@oloaffld.org to RSVP.

I hope that we can work together to continue to make Assumption a safe place of learning for your children.

Many Blessings,

Steven J. Santoli
Principal
