Additionally, we will be honoring two businesses who have exhibited remarkable success, growth and leadership in Shakopee in 2018 as Member Business of the Year!

SMFCU Shows Love to Minnesota's Children

The holidays might be over, but giving never goes out of season! South Metro Federal Credit Union will soon be kicking off its Chain of Hearts campaign. The campaign - an annual fundraiser organized by the Minnesota Credit Unions for Kids program to benefit Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare- encourages members, community residents, and area businesses to contribute by purchasing paper links. During the campaign, which runs from Jan. 8 through Feb. 28, hearts and links are personalized and added to the chain.

The South Metro Federal Credit Union's Chain of Hearts is part of a statewide fundraising effort. Through this fundraiser, Credit Unions for Kids - a sponsor program of the Children's Miracle Network -  Minnesota credit unions raised more than $50,000 for Gillette in 2017.
MACVB Silent Auction

Donate to the MACVB Silent Auction and show your support of the people who  promote tourism across the great state of Minnesota!

MACVB's Silent Auction will be held in conjunction with the Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference on February 4-6, 2019 at the InterContinental Hotel in Saint Paul. The silent auction will be "live" online to offer anyone a chance to bid on an item. Donations will be accepted until January 24, 2019.

City Administrator to Present State of the City Address Jan. 17

Shakopee City Administrator Bill Reynolds will give a 2019 State of the City address live on  Shakopee Government TV, the   city's YouTube channel and   Facebook at noon on Thursday, Jan. 17.  Join Reynolds as he discusses 2018 highlights and looks ahead to 2019.  The presentation will be followed by a short question-and-answer session.

Memorial Blood Centers Partners with Dunkin' Donuts

Memorial Blood Centers is Dunkin' for Donors in January. The Minnesota-based blood center is partnering with 11 local Dunkin' Donuts locations to help increase awareness about the need for blood donation during the winter, a traditionally challenging time to meet patient needs.
 
Dunkin' will offer a coupon for a free medium hot or iced coffee to all presenting donors with Memorial Blood Centers.
