MAYOR PAUL SOGLIN OFFERS BIG CHANGE FOR JUDGE DOYLE SQUARE PROJECT

Seeking to resolve a legal dispute and deliver a new hotel for Monona Terrace on schedule, Mayor Paul Soglin is proposing a deal that would replace the developer on half of the $186 million Judge Doyle Square project Downtown.

Madison Mayor Paul Soglin is offering a major change to the Judge Doyle Square project that would return the development rights of one downtown block back to the city.

Fujifilm Cellular Dynamics Inc. (FCDI) plans to invest $21 million to create a facility in Madison for manufacturing stem cell therapies that can be used as regenerative medicine - cells that can repair or rebuild a patient's diseased or damaged tissue.

A new year, and another Milwaukee library is set to be redeveloped with commercial space. The Capitol library branch's replacement by a new mixed-use building is entering its initial planning stage. It will be the latest in a series of similar projects throughout the city over the past several years.
